Graves of alleged victims of James “Whitey” Bulger and Stephen Flemmi are unearthed in Dorchester.

January 14, 2000

Former Bulger ally Kevin Weeks leads law enforcement investigators to the graves in a vacant lot across from Florian Hall. They contain the bodies of bank robber Arthur “Bucky” Barret, Flemmi’s step-daughter, Deborah Hussey; and gun runner and smuggler John McIntyre. The bodies had initially been buried in the basement of a house the two men called “the Haunty” at 799 East Third Street, but were disinterred and moved in October 1985 after that house was put up for sale. The house, which subsequently sold for $120,000, goes on the market with an asking price of $3.5 million, in 2019.*
