Robert Grant graduates from Boston Latin School and Harvard College, where he also receives his doctorate and law degree. After practicing law, he embarks on a career writing about Boston social life. He lives at 104 Marlborough Street. Appointed a probate judge in 1893, retires 30 years later, then serves on the committee that reviews the trial of Sacco and Vanzetti in 1927.* Grant dies in Boston on May 19, 1940.
