Gore (John) House is built.

It is located at 7 Park Street. Subsequent occupants include Artemas Ward in 1811, Henry Gardner in 1848, and then John Amory Lowell. The building is renovated by Gridley Bryant in 1838 and 1863, and by Peabody & Stearns in the 1880s. It is purchased by the Union Club as its headquarters combined with 7 Park Street, and renovated by Ball & Dabney in 1896.
