Goodwin, Procter & Hoar law firm is established.

[1899-DD] Originally Goodwin & Procter and founded by Robert Goodwin and Joseph Procter, it is located initially at 84 State Street. After Samuel Hoar joins the firm, it becomes Goodwin, Procter & Hoar in 1929. The firm moves to 28 State Street in 1969, to 53 State Street in 1985. The firm subsequently becomes Goodwin Procter LLC and is located today at 53 State Street.
