Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya (2:03:02) and Caroline Kilel of Kenya (2:32:26) are the winners of the Boston Marathon.

Mutai’s time is a course record and the fastest time ever in a major marathon (Boston, Berlin, Chicago, London, and New York). It is not recognized as a world record by the International Association of Athletics Federation, however, because of the downhill elevation of the Boston course.
