Fisherman’s Feasts are first held.
1910
The first is the east of the Madonna Del Soccorso. Established by immigrants from Sciacca, Sicily, it includes the “Flight of the Angel,” a morality play that includes the lowering of a young girl (although the first participant was a boy) by means of a pulley from above the crowd. The organizer subsequently form the Fisherman’s Club religious society to host the event.
