First Church in Jamaica Plain (second) is built.
1854
Architect: Nathaniel Bradlee. Designed in the Gothic Revival style, the granite block building is located at 6 Eliot Street. The church is redesigned by Ware & Brunt in 1871. Charles Doyle serves as minister from 1876 to 1916.
