July 24, 2019

The Boston University graduate and Boston-trained actor is fired for her role in the one-woman show Tea at Five, which was written specifically for her and is based on the life of Katherine Hepburn. Dunaway, 78 and an Oscar-winning film star, reportedly had been difficult to work with and had trouble memorizing her lines during the brief tryout in Boston. She had been attempting to return to Broadway after a 37-year absence.
