Produced by Henry Hampton and his Boston-based Blackside, Inc. along with WGBH, the Emmy Award-winning, the six-part documentary covers the first decade of the American civil rights movement. A sequel, Eyes on the Prize II: America at the Racial Crossroads 1965 – 1985, first airs February 26, 1992, and includes coverage of the Boston school desegregation effort.
