Euterpeiad or Musical Intelligencer is first published.

It is published by Thomas Badger Jr. and edited by John Rowe Parker. The first successful music periodical in the U.S., it continues publication until June 1823. Its full title is: The Euterpeiad or Musical Intelligencer: Devoted to the Diffusion of Musical Information and Belles Lettres.
