Eliot (Martha M.) Health Center is established.

Originally the Bromley Health Clinic, it is founded by Eliot, Hattie Kelton and others and located at 33 Bickford Street. An outgrowth of a program operated by Harvard School of Public Health later, the center is subsequently renamed for the Harvard professor who helped to start it. It moves to 75 Bickford Street in the 1990s.
