Wigglesworth, his wife, and seven-year-old son Michael settle in New Haven, Connecticut. Michael’s son Edward later becomes the first Hollis Professor of Divinity at Harvard, holding the position for 44 years, until succeeded by his son Edward, who holds the post for 29 years.
