Edward King is fired by the Massachusetts Port Authority board.

At a meeting at the agency’s headquarters at 99 High Street, the board votes by a 4 to 2 margin (one member walked out of the meeting) to fire King as its executive director. The vote takes place after The Dukakis administration had won control of the board that summer.
