Dreyfus Hotel collapses.

The building at 6 – 12 Beach Street collapses at 3 a.m., killing 44 people. The collapse is attributed to dancers doing the Charlestown in the second floor Pickwick Club. The building had previously damaged by a fire on April 23, 1925.
