Dorman (Dale) is born in New York.

Dale Dorman grows up in Homer, New York, works as a disc jockey in Syracuse and in California, and arrives in Boston in August 1968 to become a rock ‘n’ roll disc jockey at WRKO-AM. Known as “uncle Dale,” moves briefly to WVBF 10 years later, then to WXKS-FM in 1980, then to WODS in 2003, where he finishes his career there. Elected to the Rock and Roll Hale of Fame in 1995, Dorman dies in Tewksbury on October 21, 2014.
