Crane (Robert) Crane is born in Providence.

Robert Quinn moved with his family to Boston in 1933, graduates from English High School, serves in the U.S. Marines in World War II, then graduates from Boston College. He marries Mary Alberts in 1950, moves to Burt Street, and serves in the Massachusetts House of Representatives (1957-1964) and as state treasurer (1964-1991). Subsequently a resident of Wellesley, Crane becomes known for his affability and performing with a singing group called the Treasury Notes, at political and charity events. Crane dies on January 5, 2018.
