Congregation Shaari Jerusalem is formed.

Earlier, as Congregation Anshi Alkenich, it had met at 5 Stillman Street and 14 Cooper Street. The new congregation, formed by immigrants from Alkenich, Vilna, assumes Congregation Anshe Walkmir and Chevra Tehillim in 1903. Most of the members move to Roxbury and the building is abandoned in 1940.
