Congregation Beth El is established.

The congregation meets initially on West Castle Street, moves to Dover Street in 1871, to 180 Harrison Avenue in 187, to 284 Harrison Avenue in 1875. It is reorganized as the Netherlands Cemetery Association in 1909.
