Codman Square Municipal Building is built.

It is located at 637 Washington Street. The building includes Dorchester Great Hall, a police station, and the Codman Square Branch Library. It subsequently becomes the home of the Codman Academy Charter School and is renamed the William J. Walczak Health and Education Center for one of the founders of the Codman Square Health Center.
