Cappelletti (Gino) is born in Minnesota.

Gino Cappelletti grows up in Keewatin, as a teenager works in the iron mines, attends the University of Minnesota, and after serving in the U.S. Army an original member of the Boston Patriots in 1960.* A wide receiver and placekicker, he leads the new American Football league in scoring five times, is named Most Valuable Player in 1964. He marries Sandra Sadowsky in 1963, lives in Wellesley, and after retiring as player and becomes the team’s radio color commentator (1970-2012). Cappelletti dies in Wellesley on May 12, 2022.
