Kennedy lives operates her store on the first floor and lives in an apartment on one of the two upper floors. Kennedy subsequently purchases the building, and, according to Neal Thompson, “The grocery shop became the hub for her growing family, a constellation of Murphys, Kennedys, Roches, and various in-laws.”
