Bowdoin Square Baptist Church is dedicated.
November 5, 1840
Architect: Richard Bond. Originally the Congregational Society Church, it is built of brick and unhammered granite with a 110-foot tower and located at today’s 6 Bowdoin Square. The building is demolished to make way for the New England Telephone Building in 1930.*
