Boston University School of Law is established.
1872
Founded by three Methodist businessmen with abolitionist sympathies, it is located initially in the Wesleyan Building at 36 Bromfield Street. It was chartered in 1869. The school moves to 18-20 Beacon Street in 1873, back to Bromfield Street, to 8 – 10 Ashburton Place in 1884, to 11 Ashburton Place in 1895, and to its current location on Commonwealth Avenue in 1964.*
