Boston taxi drivers protest the Uber ride-sharing service.

Boston taxis, their horns blaring, circle the Uber’s office at South Station office to protest competition from unregulated Internet-based ride-sharing companies. The drivers charge that Uber and other companies like it enjoy a competitive advantage by not being required to conform to the same standards as the taxi industry.
