Boston School Committee votes to eliminate middle schools.

The unanimous vote marks a shift toward promoting elementary schools that end at grade 6 or 8 and secondary schools that begin at grades 7 or 9.  The last middle school to close is the Lila G. Frederick Pilot Middle School, which closes on June 25, 2025.
