Boston Red Sox Dick Radatz breaks the major league record for pitching appearances.

The Red Sox beat the Cleveland Indians 4-2 before a crowd of 306 at Fenway Park, as relief pitcher Radatz makes his 79th appearance of the year. Nicknamed “The Monster,” the 6 foot 6 inch, 240-lb. Radatz leads the major league with 29 saves and wins 16 games for the eight-place team.
