Boston Fish Bureau is established.

Founded by Alfred Rich, Franklin Snow, and others, the organization for wholesale fish dealers makes its headquarters initially on Commercial Wharf at today’s 84 Atlantic Avenue. It moves to T Wharf in 1884.
