Boston College beats previously undefeated Georgetown University.

B.C. beats a Georgetown 19-18 at Fenway Park, in what sportswriter Grantland Rice later describes as “The greatest college football game every played.” With fourth down and 19 yards to go on his own nine-yard line, B.C. quarterback O’Rourke runs around in the end zone for 23 seconds then takes an intentional safety on the last play of the game to preserve the victory.
