Boston Censor is first published.

Published by Thomas Hutchinson and Andrew Oliver, its purpose is to refute what its publishers consider the slanders of those pressing for greater independence and explain the current constitution and, especially, the salary arrangements, for public officials. The last known issue appears on May 2, 1772.
