The Bruins lose to the Canadiens 4-2 in game 7 in Boston Garden. Despite having four players with 100 points (led by Phil Esposito with 152 and Bobby Orr with 139) and 10 players with more than 20 goals during the regular season, the Bruins are upset by the Canadiens and their rookie goalies, Ken Dryden.
