May 26, 1988

The Bruins lose to the Oilers 6-3 at the Northlands Coliseum in game 4 and are swept in the finals. Two days earlier, the Bruins had been tied 3-3 with the Oilers in the second period of game 4 at Boston Garden when an electrical blackout forced the game to be canceled. Prior to the finals, the Bruins had beaten Montreal in the Forum to win their first playoff series against the Canadiens in 45 years on April 26, 1988.
