Boston Bruins employ one of the first ice resurfacing machines in the U.S.

(ca.) Developed and built by Frank Zamboni, the machine is operated by Leo Grasso, who, because of his short stature, must drive it standing up. Grasso becomes a favorite of Boston hockey fans, tipping his trademark fedora whenever he drives onto or off the ice.
