Bloomberg (Michael) is born in Allston.

The son of William and Charlotte Bloomberg, he grows up in Medford. graduates Johns Hopkins University, and begins a career on Wall Street in approximately 1965. After working for others, Bloomberg starts his own company, subsequently Bloomberg LP in 1981. He serves as Mayor of New York City (2002-14), becomes a philanthropist, and runs briefly for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020.
