B.F. Sturtevant Company Factory (third) is built.

1901

Designed in the Georgian Revival style, it is located on Damon Street. It is the first building in what becomes one of the largest manufacturing plants in New England, one that employs over 2,000 workers by 1930. The company is purchased by Westinghouse Electric Corp. in 1945 and becomes the Westinghouse/Sturtevant Division in 1946.
