Andrew Puopolo, 21, is stabbed to death in the Combat Zone.

A Boston Latin graduate and Harvard College football player, he and his teammates had just left the Naked i strip club at 670 Washington Street, where they had been celebrating their victory that afternoon over Yale. Puopolo is killed after coming to the aid of a teammate involved in an altercation with a group of alleged sex workers and pimps. Three men are charged in the death. Two are subsequently acquitted and the third is convicted of manslaughter. A book about the incident is released in 2021.
