American Brewing Company brewery is built.

1891

Architect: Frederick Footman. Designed in the Queen Anne style , it is located at 235 – 251 Heath Street. The company was founded by Irish immigrant James Kennedy. The three-building complex is built around a courtyard and includes a round tower with decorative clocks set at 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., the workers’ hours. The brewer operates until Prohibition, is then used for storage, and is purchased by Haffenreffer Brewer from 1933 to 1934 . The complex is purchased by Fraser & Walker storage company in 1958. It is converted to residential use in 2008.*
