East Boston beats Arlington Catholic 49-44 at the Paris Street Pool. It is the 295th win for Arinella, the longest-serving coach in Boston public school history, who began coaching at East Boston in 1976. Many former members of his teams come back for the meet, prompting Arinella to declare, “Forty-one captains came back here today. That’s the thrill of my life. … [And the win], that’s frosting.”
