Red Bandanna Day is held at Boston College.

A tribute to the late Welles Crowther, the event is held at the Boston College-Clemson game at Alumni Stadium. The B.C. team wears Crowther’s name on their jerseys and thousands of fans wear red bandannas in memory of Crowther, a B.C. graduate and equities trader who worked on the 104th floor of the World Trade Center in New York and died after saving more than a dozen people during the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.
