Office of Police Accountability and Transparency is established.

Created by an ordinance passed by the City Council by a vote of 12 to 1 and signed by Mayor Marty Walsh, its purpose is to monitor police policies and behavior. The office is to be headed by three commissioners, including a lawyer and will work with a newly-created nine-member civilian review board and an internal affairs oversight panel.
