Boston Celtic K.C. Jones dies in Connecticut.

Jones played on two NCAA championship teams, an Olympic gold medal team, and eight Celtic championships teams, and coached the team to two more titles. But he was known as much for his decency as his success. Larry Bird said, “K.C. was the nicest man I ever met . . . the kind of person I’d like to be, but I don’t have the time to work at it.”
