Boston Police Department Memorial is dedicated.

Created by the Boston Police Foundation, it is located at Boston Police Department Headquarters at 1 Schroeder Plaza. The memorial includes the 13 badges of 13 officers who took their own lives in the last 25 years, and phone numbers that officers in crisis may call for help. Speaking at the dedication ceremony, Police Com. William Gross declares, “We are not robots. We have feelings and this job takes a toll on us and affects people in many different ways.”
