Northeastern University suspends 11 freshman for violating the school’s coronavirus prevention protocols.
September 2, 2020
The students were caught attending a party without wearing masks or practicing social distancing at the Westin Copley Place Hotel, their temporary dormitory. The students are given 24 hours to pack and leave the hotel. Days later, Northeastern announces that it will not refund the $36,534 that each paid for the cost of the special program in which they were enrolled, but subsequently relents and charges each of the only $8,7400 for their brief first-year at the school.
