Boston Red Sox win their season opener.

The Red Sox beat Baltimore 13-2 at an otherwise empty Fenway Park. The start of the season had been delayed because of the concerns over the coronavirus. It is the first professional sporting event in Boston since the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics suspended their seasons temporarily on March 10, 2020.
