Martin’s Park is dedicated.

June 15, 2019

Named for Martin Richard, the eight-year-old Dorchester boy killed in the Boston Marathon Bombings, it is designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh and located next to the Children’s Museum at 64 Sleeper Street. Ground was broken on the project on August 16, 2017. In addition to providing open space and recreation for kids, the park is designed to promoting environmental resiliency in the Fort Point Channel area.
