Massachusetts General Hospital receives its largest donation.

(April) The $200 million donation by Phillip and Susan Rogan is to be used by the vaccine research center named for the couple and headed by Dr. Bruce Walker, in a joint venture with Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
