Wan-Go H.C. Weng donates his family’s art collection to the Museum of Fine Arts.

December 13, 2018

A Chinese immigrant, scholar, and member of a family of collectors, he donates 183 works, the largest donation of paintings and calligraphy in MFA history. Weng subsequently explains, “There is such a thing as a heritage from generation to generation. Not only to pass on the painting and calligraphy, but also the study of it, the enjoyment of it, and even become a practitioner of it. I am a link and that’s my life.”
