Harvard Medical School receives its largest gift.

The Blavatnik Family Foundation pledges $200 million to the school to support research in human illness and health. The donation comes from Len Blavatnik, a Ukrainian-born billionaire, who made his fortune in aluminum, natural gas, and oil in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union.
