Boston Red Sox win the World Series in Los Angeles.

The Red Sox beat the Dodgers 5-1 in Dodger Stadium in game 5 to win the team’s fourth championship since 2004. Led by rookie manager Alex Cora, the Red Sox won 108 games in the regular season and 11 of 14 in the playoffs, also beating the New York Yankees and defending champion Houston Astros, who had both won 100 or more games over the course of the season.
