Marriott Hotel workers strike at seven major Boston hotels.

More than 1,500 Marriott International employees go on strike after months of unsuccessful negotiations for higher pay. The first major strike in Boston since passage of federal labor laws in 1930, it is sponsored by Unite Here Local 26 union, which includes workers at the Ritz-Carlton Boston, Sheraton Boston, and Westin Copley Place. Union members vote to agree to a new contract on November 17, 2018.
