MBTA shuts down due to a series of snowstorms.

February 9, 2015

All subway and commuter transit are shut down in the first of what would be three shutdowns during the month. Newly-elected governor Charlie Baker calls the shutdown unacceptable. But MBTA general manger Beverly Scott defends her performance during the record snowfall, declaring, “I don’t care if you have God Jr., or whomever. What happened here would have taken anybody down.” She submits her resignation on February 11, 2015.
